What is Independence Day?
Is it just about wearing a white kurta with a flag on a it...sing the national anthem and salute it...and say for once jai hind...listening to the PM talk, watch a patriotic movie and shed 2 tears for the martyrs who sacrificed their life then think of our current situation and abuse the politicians....put a status of i love my India and enjoy a good family holiday...Is that all we can think of?
Is our patriotism restricted to only 2 days of the year?
Do we actually think over and above ourselves other than these 2 days?
Do we ever say I love my India and mean it more importantly??
Am not taking away any of these ways we celebrate this day...They are meant to be like that...I myself love wearing white and saying mera bharat mahan...But the point am trying to put forward is do we really mean what we do? Or is it just for these day and never else? We say on these days! Perfect thought! But do we stand up and do something about it the next day ?Its high time that we started to put our words into action...When the people of this country starting thinking of the country before themselves and started believing that what they do or try to do at least will have an impact..or their efforts will materialize....or serving the nation is more beneficial than working in a mnc in America. When this mindset of people begins to change that’s when we can celebrate independence day in its true sense...That's when we can say that yes we are free...W are free from the clutches of being divided by regionalism, linguism, religion or caste...It's the mindset and thoughts that make a difference..just your approach is that what needs to be changed...stop looking at people from north east as outsiders...no fine nothing changes this but your will to accept differences as they are...It's your will to BE THE CHANGE this country needs....It's your attitude....
So this independence day...Let's not think of what is bad but decide and work on what can be done to change the way things are...Instead of looking for a job at an international school in Dubai lets try to provide education to those millions of illiterate poor kids waiting to be taught! Let's change the way we look at things in this beautiful beautiful country that has been given to us...Because we are no less than any power in the world...All that’s required to be that next power is the unity to see India on the world map as a place with the perfect blend of rich cultural heritage, intelligence, youth power and strength! That's India of my dreams...Let's make this dream a reality people...It may be ideological and may be not convincing you...But it is true......That's the India I wish to see...And am sure I will make sure it happens...Jai hind!!
