My journey from a king to a warrior

With India winning the world cup off late its been an enthusiastic cricketing journey. It was a dream of 1.2 billion people.A 28 year long wait finally came to an end with the India team taking the victory lap.You may think all this is said and done why am I saying all this now?But the point am trying to make is a little different.Celebrating the frenzy, victory and happiness. As a die hard fan it puts me down to think of one cricketer which many may not think about.
Going in to the tournament with a lot of questions on selection,form,attitude...But the captain showed faith in him. With more than a year of struggle,he' s now back. The Mr.dependable of the Indian team showed what he was worth.Yes I am talking about the man of the tournament of the world cup yuvraj singh. Its said isn't it nothing succeeds like success. Its true. When he won so matches for us earlier which include the under 19 world cup,t20 world cup and bilateral series. That was the time when the media was all praises for him.people going crazy! But when he had a bad patch the media criticism started. When somebody really needs your support you do not support him.Thats when it hurts.Winning and playing with passion is what he did and just expected a little support in return.Am sure yuvraj cannot hear or see my support. But during those 12 -14 months I can say that all the people around me kept on saying"why you supporting him now?he is gone! his career is over"thats when I told them he still has a lot in him.We just need to support him.At such a time the person needs support from fans. Then he was dropped from the test side and not retained by the kxip.Thats when I felt bad.Last 3 ipl s I supported the kxip for yuvraj with all my heart and soul. And this year I will be supporting the pune warriors for yuvraj again. With a very special performance in the world cup he has proved not to others but himself that he is the man who hit six sixes on 19th September 2007.With cherished memories of all those beautiful matches against Pakistan in 2007 England and Australia in 2008 and now the world cup!The media standing up in a recent press conference after the world cup. There is still a lot to come. And just like to say that yuvi you will always have the love and support of your fans.Way to go!you still have a lot to achieve. We need you to play for years to come! Its just the beginning. This one is for you yuvi! Your journey first as a prince(punjab) then a king(kxip) and now a warrior(pune warriors india)! all the best!for all those crazzzzzzzzy yuvraj fans like me! cheers!

  7. I do keep reading lots of blogs , and when I started reading this one too (thx to yr Dad , who sent me this blog link), I first said to myself, Oh, another blog on 2 April "affair", but when I finished reading the blog , I can now say confidently, that the last few lines made all that difference.
I infact appreciate the flow of the subject from a macro picture of Indian cricket and then narrowing it down to Yuvi and most importantly the diff avatars he has gone thru.
    Cheers ,
hope to read lot more blogs in days to come.
