AS WE TURN 18!

OMG! Its 18 and still counting! How many of us can actually say that we have been friends from the time we were born?Proudly I can.You call it destiny. You call it coincidence or you just call it friendship. For me its just special. Its surprisingly wonderful to have known a person for so long. She was born on 3rd and me just 4 days later in the same hospital. And we have been friends from that very day. What do you call this?!Today as she turns 18 to enter a new phase of life,I just sit back and wonder. And wonder of how we have grown from strength to strength supporting each other through these years of our life.
To get up one morning and think,"what if she wasn't there?" God!The thought scares me!Whom will I tell,"say something nice"Whom will I share my thoughts with?"Who will pull me out of every problem in a second! hahahaha...Life would be a little less sweet,a little less spicy,a little less fun without her.In short, life wouldn't be 'LIFE ' without her.As our parents call us 'chaddi buddies"!There's no running away from the fact that probably she is the most important friend in my life.
To describe our friendship over the years is a rather difficult task.We have laughed, cried and grown together. From our silly stupid fights which only helped us be better people to date, every small incident has helped make our friendship reach a level of what it has today. Our telepathy is just amazing. From playing stupid games to playing badminton,From learning how to eat to learning how to bake,From learning how to walk to learning how to drive,From school to college,From ABC to writing blogs.None of these small things would be fun without her.
Now after reading this she is going to tell me to stop my mellodrama. But everything said above is truly heart felt. There is so so much I can write. But I wish to end here because I know that our friendship will not. It's 18 and still counting.....I just like to end by saying that whoever you are whatever you will be in the future...you'll always be the same for me."my same bestie"A friend who has been a silent supporter through every walk of life and I wish to cherish and preserve for a life time.As you begin a new journey I'd like you to know that our journey from childhood to adulthood is and will be truly truly remembered.I have been a small part of your life to being called 'adults' and I hope and pray that this wonderful bond that we share, will live till we live. From the maternity home to the morgue, your the person whose touched my life.
Life's a garden. There are millions of flowers in the form of people who decorate our lives, who come and go.But your the sunshine, who's there always sparkling in the sky, giving the other flowers,a chance and reason to live.
Wishing you a very happy birthday and a long and healthy life ahead.Cheers!!God Bless!!

  2. Yes, I have seen you both, born in the same room. The difference is just that you were born 4 days later, same year, same hospital, same complex and same shool. Hope you don't fall in love with the same boy. Love you and your friends always. keep growing, to touch the stars and keep writting peacefully.

  3. Very well drafting of pre election Indian scenario. Indian voters time and again have been fooled. Hope this they are not ditched again this time. Results are offing in a few hours from now and voters will come to know the outcome. Hope India gets better leaders this time who take the counrty and its citizens in right direction.
All the best Sanskriti and hope we enjoy your such articles in future also.
